Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy in Southeast Asia consisting of 13 states and 3 federal territories. Their population is 28.33 million. The country’s capital is Kuala Lumpur. The country is ranked as the 9th most visited in the world with several tropical islands some of which have been voted the most beautiful in the world. Their cuisine is very similar to that of Singapore and also resembles the Philippine cuisine.
Langkawi “The Jewel of Kedah” is a cluster of 99 islands and is situated off the mainland cost of northwestern Malaysia.
The island is one of the most famous destinations with popular beaches such as Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah, Burau Bay, Pantai Kok, and Datai Bay. Langwaki island in 2007 was given a UNESCO status as a World Geopark. 3 of its main conservation areas are Machincang Cambrian Geoforest Park, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park and Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest park. These three parks are the most popular tourist attractions within the Geopark. Visitors can also take the Langkawi Cable Car to the peak of Gunung Mat Chinchang where the Langkawi Sky Bridge is located.
